According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, due to a low-pressure system passing through the central region from the central West Sea, rain will fall in the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon Province, while occasional rain will occur in the Chungcheong region, southern regions, and Jeju Island until the afternoon.
Strong rain exceeding 30mm per hour will fall in Jeju until the morning and along the southern coast of Gyeongnam Province until the afternoon. Due to proximity to the low-pressure center and topographical effects, heavy rain exceeding 120mm will continue in the northern part of Yeongdong, Gangwon Province.
The expected precipitation amounts for the day are ▲Northern Gangwon, Ulleungdo and Dokdo 30~80mm ▲Seoul metropolitan area, southern Gangwon, northern Gyeongbuk, southern coast of Gyeongnam, Jeju Island 10~60mm ▲Chungcheong region, southern regions (excluding northern Gyeongbuk and southern coast of Gyeongnam), and the five West Sea islands 5~30mm.
On the west coast, winds will blow strongly at 10~14m/s with gusts up to 20m/s until early morning tomorrow, so caution is needed in managing facilities such as screening clinics, construction sites, vinyl greenhouses, and ships. Most regions nationwide will experience strong winds of 9~13m/s with gusts up to 15m/s.
On the 8th, occasional rain will occur until morning in the Seoul metropolitan area and Chungnam region, until afternoon in Gangwon and Chungbuk, and until night in the Gyeongbuk region.
