Korea Elevator Safety Agency Signs MOU with Elevator Management Industry Cooperative to Strengthen Industrial Accident Prevention Cooperation
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Korea Elevator Safety Agency is strengthening cooperation with elevator-related organizations to prevent industrial accidents among elevator workers.
On the 6th, the agency, as a public institution specializing in elevator safety, selected the prevention of industrial accidents among internal and external workers as a core policy to enhance safety activities, with the head of the agency directly monitoring it every month as a key initiative.
Accordingly, to establish a cooperative system for preventing industrial accidents among elevator workers involving related associations and organizations, the agency signed a business agreement with the Korea Elevator Management Industry Cooperative on the 6th and plans to expand this cooperation to other associations and organizations in the future.
At the signing ceremony, Han Ik-kwon, Director of Safety Management at the agency, and Kim Ki-dong, Chairman of the Elevator Management Industry Cooperative, participated and signed the agreement. The main contents include the agency providing safety and health information it possesses to the cooperative, which will share it with its member companies, conduct on-site safety inspections, identify and eliminate safety hazards, and jointly develop safety and health education materials.
