Gwangyang City Operates Temporary Screening Clinic at Seomjingang Rest Area on Expressway
Free Testing for Everyone at Rest Areas for Easy Access
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] The Gwangyang City Public Health Center in Jeollanam-do announced that it will operate a temporary COVID-19 screening clinic at the Seomjingang Rest Area (Suncheon direction) from September 3 to 30 to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the community and to make it easier for citizens to get tested amid increased regional travel during the vacation season and Chuseok holidays.
The operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both weekdays and holidays, and anyone wishing to be tested can do so free of charge regardless of their region.
Test results will be notified via individual mobile text messages by the morning of the day following the test, and in the case of confirmed cases, the local public health center of the actual residence will also be informed.
The screening clinic will be staffed by 9 personnel on weekdays and 13 personnel on weekends and holidays. Among the 8 operating personnel, 4 are supported by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, and 4 are supported by the Ministry of National Defense.
