Jung Dong-chang Appointed as Full-time Vice President of the Korea Petroleum Association
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] The Korea Petroleum Association announced on the 1st that it has appointed Jeong Dong-chang (photo, 62), former Regional Economic Policy Officer at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, as its full-time vice president. The newly appointed Vice President Jeong graduated from Korea University with a degree in Business Administration and earned a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Surrey in the UK. He entered public service by passing the 34th Administrative Examination in 1990 and served as Director of the Industrial Environment Division and Regional Economic Policy Officer at the Ministry of Industry and Resources. After retiring from public office, he served as the full-time vice president of the Korea Federation of Textile Industries until November last year. Vice President Jeong stated, "In the era of carbon neutrality, we will actively respond to energy transition while jointly enhancing the competitiveness of the petroleum industry, a national key industry, together with the industry."
