Nikkei Asia "Apple Watch Faces Shipment Delays Due to Manufacturing Challenges"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] Nikkei Asia reported on the 31st (local time) that production of Apple's new Apple Watch is being delayed due to difficulties in the manufacturing process.
According to the report, Apple produced a small batch of the new Apple Watch with a new and complex design, resulting in disappointing quality outcomes.
Nikkei Asia explained that production of the new Apple Watch is currently temporarily halted, and manufacturers and parts suppliers are working to resolve the issues.
Furthermore, Nikkei Asia added that Apple did not mention whether it would delay the release date of the new Apple Watch, but the product shipment plans after launch could be affected.
Apple usually unveils new Apple Watch and iPhone models in September or October, but this year it has not yet announced the release timing.
