Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital and Gwangju Jeonnam Cancer Center Launch 'Cancer Prevention Campaign' at Local Children's Centers
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital and Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Cancer Center recently conducted a ‘Cancer Prevention Campaign’ targeting children and adolescents at local children's centers.
According to Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital on the 1st, this campaign is part of a support project for local child welfare facilities. Educational booklets on cancer and infectious disease prevention were distributed to 22 children's centers in the Jeonnam region, and items such as handheld fans, towels, and hand wash were provided to children and adolescents to help them grow up healthier.
Kim Seokmo, Director of the Cancer Center, said, “Children and adolescents are a vulnerable age group when it comes to preventing cancer and infectious diseases on their own,” adding, “We planned the cancer prevention campaign at local children's centers to help children and adolescents grow up physically and mentally healthy.”
