Gwangju Seo-gu Opens Care Service 'Care Ansim Jutaek'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Dae-seok) has opened a Care Safety Housing in Nongsong-dong for the comfortable old age of the elderly.
According to Seo-gu on the 1st, 'Care Safety Housing' is a space that integrates a safe living environment and care services, reflecting the wishes of elderly people who want to spend their remaining years in their own homes. It serves as a transitional place for elderly people discharged from hospitals or facilities.
Seo-gu partnered with LH to create this Care Safety Housing to solve the problem where elderly long-term inpatients or facility residents without homes have nowhere to go after discharge or leaving the facility, causing them to remain in the facility.
The Care Safety Housing, a four-story building with 12 rooms, consists of independent living spaces equipped with built-in and elderly-friendly facilities, staffed by employees who reside on-site to manage health one-on-one and operate various programs in shared spaces.
Customized integrated care services (31 types) tailored to the physical, health, and psychological needs of the elderly are also provided, including nutritional food support, care taxis, oriental medicine primary care, oral care, and rehabilitation services.
Additionally, resident staff and young volunteers monitor safety day and night, and with the introduction of an AI system, 24-hour safety care services are provided.
Seo Dae-seok, Mayor of Seo-gu, said, "We understand the elderly who have been in hospitals for a long time want to return home and spend their remaining years." He added, "We will spare no effort to support them to live healthily in body and mind at Care Safety Housing and successfully reintegrate into the local community."
