IBK Industrial Bank Launches 'EV Card' Specialized in Electric Vehicle Charging Discounts
0.5% Discount on Electric Vehicle Charging and Refueling
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-ho Kim] IBK Industrial Bank announced on the 27th that it has launched the ‘EV Card,’ which offers discounts for electric vehicle charging.
The ‘EV Card’ is a corporate customer-exclusive card that provides unlimited discounts and point accumulation benefits if the previous month’s usage amount exceeds 300,000 KRW.
The benefits include ▲a 0.5% billing discount on electric vehicle charging and fuel purchases ▲0.5% point accumulation on public transportation usage ▲0.3% point accumulation on domestic and international merchant usage. The annual fee is 9,000 KRW for domestic-only (BC) and 10,000 KRW for domestic and international use (Master, UnionPay).
Additionally, by installing the IBK EV Card dedicated app on a smartphone and registering the card, up to five membership cards that allow electric vehicle charging without issuing additional credit cards are provided.
As part of practicing ESG management, the bank explained that the card plate uses wood material, which decomposes easily, instead of plastic materials that have high carbon emissions during production.
