[2022 Early Admission] Korea University Student Record-Based Selection of 2,420 Students
Korea University Seoul Campus will select 2,546 students through the 2022 academic year early admission. It will select 860 students through the Student Record-Based Screening, 1,560 students through the Comprehensive Student Record Screening, and 73 students through the Practical Skills and Achievements Screening. The application period is from September 10 to 13.
The Student Record-Based Screening, which accounts for the largest portion of early admissions, is divided into Student Record-Based Screening (School Recommendation) and Comprehensive Student Record Screening (General Screening - Academic Excellence Type, General Screening - Major Suitability Type, Equal Opportunity).
The Student Record-Based Screening (School Recommendation) selects final successful candidates by combining 80% of the school record (curriculum) and 20% of documents in a batch selection, then applying the minimum CSAT score requirement. The curriculum grades are quantitatively evaluated and reflected at 80%, favoring students who have diligently completed their studies at school.
The Comprehensive Student Record Screening (General Screening - Academic Excellence Type, General Screening - Major Suitability Type, Equal Opportunity) comprehensively evaluates all records centered on the school record. Since it is a qualitative evaluation, it assesses the applicant's strengths and individual characteristics rather than the quantity of records or the presence of specific activities.
The Comprehensive Student Record Screening (General Screening - Academic Excellence Type) selects six times the number of applicants in the first stage by comprehensively evaluating documents 100%, then in the second stage combines 70% of the first stage score and 30% of the interview. The document-based interview lasts 6 minutes, and there is a minimum CSAT score requirement. The Comprehensive Student Record Screening (General Screening - Major Suitability Type) selects five times the number of applicants in the first stage by comprehensively evaluating documents 100%, then in the second stage combines 60% of the first stage score and 40% of the interview. The document-based interview lasts 7 minutes, and there is no minimum CSAT score requirement.
The Comprehensive Student Record Screening (Equal Opportunity) evaluates documents 100% in the first stage and selects three times the number of applicants, then in the second stage combines 70% of the first stage score and 30% of the interview. The application period is from September 10 to 14.
