According to SK Telecom on the 27th, the annual ‘ai.x Conference,’ held under the slogan ‘HUMAN. MACHINE. EXPERIENCE TOGETHER,’ will take place this year on September 15-16 with the theme ‘AI For Everyone.’
At this conference, the current status of AI in South Korea will be reviewed through the voices of AI startups, and ways to expand opportunities for individuals and companies to participate in AI technology service development regardless of investment scale will be explored. The difficulties and potentials experienced by AI startups on the ground will be shared, and the desirable development direction and alternatives for the AI industry will be discussed together.
Additionally, SK Telecom’s collaboration stories with small and medium-sized enterprises and startups, as well as AI service cases for the safety of people with disabilities, will present the potential for ‘AI for Everyone’ to expand into various industries.
Considering the pandemic situation, the conference will be held online over two days. On the first day, immersive talks by startup representatives pioneering the AI market will take place. SK Telecom plans to propose ways for individual experts and small-scale companies to more conveniently utilize infrastructure and data, including AI semiconductors, which are essential elements of AI research and development (R&D).
On the second day, experts will present and discuss the current status of AI technology development and application in various industries such as smart factories, bio, and security, as well as future utilization plans. Various AI technology application cases by SK Telecom will also be shared.
The conference is open to anyone through pre-registration. Questions during participation can be left on the Q&A page, and answers will be provided in comments.
Kim Yoon, CTO of SK Telecom, said, “Through the diverse stories of ai.x2021, I hope this becomes an opportunity to confirm the possibility of integrating AI technology into all our lives and to gain belief and inspiration that humanity can solve various challenges it faces by utilizing AI to create a better world.”
