Damyang-gun Promotes Early Achievement of Certification Goals Through GAP Certification Consulting
Basic Training and On-site Consulting Initiated to Expand Agricultural Products Quality Management (GAP) Certification
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Damyang-gun, Jeonnam announced on the 26th that it will promote on-site consulting for farms and groups (crop cultivation groups) hoping to obtain Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) certification to create a safe agricultural product production and distribution environment.
This project will be carried out from August to December this year, during which consultant companies qualified through professional consulting certification will visit farms to provide free counseling and education, including basic GAP certification training and preparation of hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) plans.
The support targets 108 farms that applied after a preliminary demand survey, and basic education and consulting will be conducted at the village pavilions in Yong-myeon, Wolsan-myeon, and Mujung-myeon by the 27th.
