[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam, participated in the signing ceremony on the 18th for the adoption of a joint petition by the National Innovation City Council to expedite the relocation of public institutions in the metropolitan area to Innovation City Season 2.
This signing ceremony was promoted after the city proposed the joint petition agenda to Jincheon-gun, Chungbuk, the chair city of the National Innovation City Council.
At the signing ceremony, heads of 11 cities and counties, including Jinju City, Jincheon-gun, Chungbuk, Wanju-gun, Jeonbuk, Seogwipo City, Jeju, Jung-gu, Ulsan, Dong-gu, Daegu, Wonju City, Gangwon, Eumseong-gun, Chungbuk, Jeonju City, Jeonbuk, Naju City, Jeonnam, and Gimcheon City, Gyeongbuk, all participated.
The joint petition will be submitted to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport under the name of the National Innovation City Council.

Mayor Cho said, “Currently, the nationwide innovation cities are incomplete, and the core of 'Innovation City Season 2' is that public institutions in the metropolitan area must relocate to the current innovation cities to be completed,” adding, “Through this joint petition, I hope the government will breathe new life into the nationwide innovation cities.”
