Regarding the healthcare workers' union strike, the official said, "We appreciate the dedicated efforts of medical staff during COVID-19, and the government has been striving to support them through policies and budgets," adding, "Since the COVID-19 situation remains severe, we will make our best efforts, including dialogue between the government and the union, to ensure that the strike does not cause difficulties for the public in accessing medical institutions."
When asked about the stance on the forcibly passed amendment to the Media Arbitration Act that day, the official replied, "We believe legislative efforts are necessary to enhance the effectiveness of damage relief, as current measures are insufficient to address harm caused by false media reports," adding, "Specific measures will be decided through in-depth discussions in the National Assembly."
Regarding reports that North Korea attempted a missile launch on Liberation Day, the official stated, "We are closely monitoring related developments under close cooperation between South Korean and U.S. intelligence agencies and maintaining a firm readiness posture."
