Park Soon-sung, former head of the Democratic Policy Research Institute, Seo Wang-jin, former director of the Seoul Institute, and Professor Kim Yoon-tae of Woosuk University are also expected to play key roles. The advisory group is composed of Professor Kang Myung-gu of City University of New York, former Nuclear Safety Commission Chairman Kang Jung-min, retired Army Lieutenant General Kim Sung-il, former Ambassador to Russia Park No-byeok, Professor Emeritus Lee Jung-woo of Kyungpook National University, former Presidential Advisory Policy Planning Committee Chairman Lee Jong-oh, Professor Emeritus Lim Hyuk-baek of Korea University, former Environment Minister Cho Myung-rae, and retired Army General Hwang In-guk.
Notably, former Unification Ministry Vice Minister Cheon Hae-sung, a leading policy expert of the Ministry of Unification and a special envoy for inter-Korean summit discussions under President Moon Jae-in, is also participating as an advisor. The forum plans to organize and operate over 40 policy production units, including about 20 subcommittees corresponding to government ministries, major policy task forces (TFs), and research groups.
