Kazakhstan President's State Visit... Summit Meeting with President Moon Tomorrow
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev began a 1-night, 2-day state visit to South Korea on the 16th.
President Tokayev arrived at Seoul Airport around 8:20 PM that day, where he was greeted by Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Moon Seung-wook.
Minister Moon expressed his gratitude to President Tokayev for visiting South Korea amid the COVID-19 situation and stated, "I hope this state visit will be successfully carried out."
President Tokayev is the first foreign head of state to visit Korea in an official capacity since the COVID-19 outbreak, and is scheduled to hold a summit with President Moon on the 17th.

He will also attend the awarding ceremony of the General Hong Beom-do Medal, a memorandum of understanding signing ceremony, a meeting with major business leaders, and a state banquet together with President Moon.
