Pohang City Expands Cultural Space from Uhyun~Hyogok-dong 'Railroad Forest' to Yeonil-eup as 'Coexistence Forest Path'

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Pohang City announced on the 16th that the 'Cheolgil Forest Coexistence Forest Path Construction Project'
The Coexistence Forest Path Construction Project is a project to connect and expand the Pohang Cheolgil Forest, a core project of the GreenWay that has been loved by citizens, all the way to Yeonil-eup Yugang.
The existing Pohang Cheolgil Forest extends from Yuseong Girls' High School in Uhyun-dong, Buk-gu to Hyoja Church in Hyogok-dong, Nam-gu. From here, it will extend 2.7 km to Yugang Koaru 4th in Yeonil-eup, making the total length of Pohang Cheolgil Forest 9.3 km.
For this, 42 species of trees including pine and thorn trees have been planted in multiple layers. Drainage pipes, convenience facilities, floor decking, walking trail gravel paving, and lawn planting projects are underway.
Walking along the Pohang Cheolgil Forest, when entering the Yugang Coexistence Forest Path, it naturally connects to Hyoja Market. Tourists visiting Lidan-gil, famous for its restaurants and unique alley atmosphere, can turn their heads and feel the dignity of nature up close on the walking trail in the city.
As the Pohang Cheolgil Forest section lengthens, POSTECH students can also walk to the Yugang Coexistence Forest Path. This path leading to POSTECH has been named the 'Entrepreneur's Path.'
