[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) is supporting the development of drone public service technologies to address various social issues.
On the 12th, Incheon TP announced that it has finally selected three companies?Wizwing, PalNetworks, and IDCT?as public service technology advancement support companies through the drone demonstration business commercialization contest.
These are small and medium-sized enterprises in the Incheon area possessing drone technologies to solve social problems related to public safety, environment, disasters, and traffic. Incheon TP plans to support technology development costs up to 80 million KRW per company.
Wizwing is developing a three-dimensional environmental and disaster monitoring and prevention system. It focuses on securing citizen safety by early detection of radiation and harmful chemicals using drones.
PalNetworks is advancing the development of drones equipped with sensors for monitoring air pollution information such as carbon dioxide concentration, along with a monitoring platform. It is expected that more precise preemptive measures will be possible through fine dust and odor sample measurement devices.
