Munsungyu, CEO of Kamco, Conducts 'Special Safety Inspection of Workplaces' Amid Heatwave
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO) announced on the 12th that President Moon Sung-yu personally conducted a special safety inspection at business sites during the summer season.
The special inspection was organized to protect workers from heatwaves and to practice and spread a safety culture amid the resurgence of COVID-19 and a series of construction site accidents.
The safety inspection took place at the public complex office building construction site in Songsan 3-dong, Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi-do. The site is nearing completion, with many workers involved in finishing works.
President Moon carefully checked the basic safety facility rules and emphasized compliance. He focused on the three basic rules for preventing heatstroke (water, shade, rest), suspension of work during peak heat hours (14:00?17:00), and adherence to quarantine guidelines. After listening to difficulties at the site, he also delivered fruit lunchboxes to help overcome the heat.
Additionally, together with experts, he inspected measures to prevent fire and explosion accidents caused by welding, collision prevention between construction machinery and workers, and the deployment status of personnel and equipment for emergency recovery in case of incidents.
