'Hallyu Festival' KCON... Exclusive Release on OTT Tving
Exclusive Release of 'KCON:TACT HI 5'
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Online video service (OTT) TVING announced on the 11th that it will exclusively stream CJ ENM's global K-pop festival ‘KCON:TACT HI 5’ in South Korea.
TVING plans to provide the service for ‘KCON:TACT HI 5,’ which will take place from the 18th to the 26th of next month. KCON:TACT HI 5 signifies connecting hearts with K-pop fans and enabling communication regardless of place or time, just like a 'high five' when sharing joy by slapping palms together.
In this KCON:TACT HI 5, signature content such as augmented reality (AR) openings, the KCON arena, and music rooms that enrich artists' music will be showcased, based on the technology and experience accumulated since KCON:TACT began in 2012.
TVING stated, “In the prolonged global pandemic situation, we decided to exclusively stream KCON:TACT HI 5 in South Korea so that TVING users can enjoy performances by top domestic K-pop artists anytime and anywhere.”
Paid TVING users, from basic subscribers, can watch live broadcasts and video-on-demand (VOD) content without additional purchases.
