RaonPeople to Supply AI Traffic Solution Worth 2.2 Billion KRW... "Building Intelligent Transportation System"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Raon People has signed a contract to supply AI solutions worth 2.2 billion KRW as part of the government's Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) construction project.
The AI specialist company Raon People announced on the 9th that it has signed a contract to supply AI traffic solutions with the executing companies related to the '2021 Hwaseong City Intelligent Transportation System Construction Project.'
The Intelligent Transportation System and Next-Generation Intelligent Transportation System (C-ITS) construction project, promoted under the government's New Deal policy, selects 44 local governments nationwide to support the establishment of digital road networks and improve road environments such as traffic management, signal operation, and safety support. It is a future-oriented project in the AI traffic sector aimed at providing various mobility services, including autonomous cooperative driving, on major roads nationwide by 2025.
Hwaseong City plans to intensify projects to improve traffic flow and enhance citizen safety by sharing data to strengthen traffic services with support from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, including intersection analysis, public parking lot parking control cameras, signal control, and responsive signal systems. Raon People has signed contracts with executing agencies to supply AI solutions worth a total of 2.2 billion KRW, including smart intersection cameras and communication equipment worth about 1.2 billion KRW and AI video analysis servers worth 1 billion KRW, embedding advanced traffic technologies applied with AI.
