Members of the Sanin-myeon Life Improvement Association participated on this day, and in celebration of Malbok on the 10th, they cooked Samgyetang for 50 households and carried out the first relay sharing volunteer service.
The Samgyetang cooked by the Life Improvement Association was delivered directly to low-income elderly living alone and severely disabled households by members of private organizations such as the Sanin-myeon Red Cross Volunteer Corps, Sanin-myeon Women's Volunteer Fire Brigade, and Sanin-myeon Village Leaders.
Starting with this first relay event, Sanin-myeon plans to continue the soup sharing volunteer activities once a month for the next year.
Currently, the Life Improvement Association and the Volunteer Fire Brigade, which are Safe Guardian agreement organizations, as well as 10 local restaurants, have applied to participate in the soup sharing relay.
