Policy Ideas and Research Paper Submissions... Total Prize Money of 21 Million Won
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 9th that it will hold the "29th Small and Medium Business Support Policy Idea Contest" to discover demand-driven policies, operate the institution, and innovate business structures.
The contest themes are five areas related to small and medium business policies: ▲Post-COVID response ▲Korean New Deal 2.0 ▲Regional innovation ▲SME field innovation ▲SME support systems, and participants can choose one of these. This year, in addition to policy ideas that resonate with the public, policy research papers on timely topics related to small and medium business policies will also be accepted to promote in-depth research. To encourage active public participation, the application form has been simplified. Policy ideas should be submitted within 3 pages, and policy research papers within 20 pages.
The total prize money is 21 million KRW. Two grand prize teams (3 million KRW each), four excellence award teams (2 million KRW each), and a total of 16 works will be selected and awarded in the policy idea and policy research paper categories. Anyone with ideas for supporting small and medium businesses can apply, and up to three people can participate jointly. Entries must be submitted on the contest website by the 31st.

Submitted policy ideas and research papers will first be evaluated by SBC’s field departments. Then, in the second evaluation, expert assessments and online public evaluations will be reflected to select the final winners. Chairman Kim Hak-do said, "Through this public participation contest, we hope to present various ideas and research results that can solve the current issues of small and medium businesses," adding, "SBC will carefully review the submitted policy opinions and actively reflect them in support projects to contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of our small and medium businesses."
