Samil Accounting Corporation Donates 20,000 Masks to Temporary Screening Clinics in Yongsan-gu
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] Samil Accounting Corporation announced on the 6th that it delivered 6,000 masks to a temporary screening clinic located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, to support medical staff and investigators working on the front lines of COVID-19. Through the Samil Future Foundation, it also provided 14,000 masks to five child and youth-related facilities in Yongsan-gu and care institutions for North Korean defector family youth.
This donation, conducted as part of the social contribution activities of 'Yongsan Dragons,' a volunteer group of companies based in Yongsan-gu, involved participating companies voluntarily selecting donation items and conveying their support through the Yongsan-gu Volunteer Center.
Yoon Hoonsoo, CEO of Samil Accounting Corporation, said, "We wanted to offer some support by delivering masks to medical staff and investigators working hard to prevent the spread of COVID-19 despite the heatwave, as well as to those involved in child and youth facilities in the area struggling under the social distancing Level 4 restrictions. We hope COVID-19 subsides soon so that we can return to peaceful daily life."
In addition to this support, last March, immediately after the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, Samil Accounting Corporation provided an emergency fund of 100 million KRW to Daegu Dongsan Hospital, a COVID-19 base hospital in Daegu, to prevent domestic damage spread and early recovery, and supported about 30 million KRW worth of masks, quarantine, and hygiene supplies to local child centers and child and youth-related facilities in Yongsan-gu.
