Naver and Woori Bank Provide 'Digital and Financial' Growth Training for SMEs
MOU Signed to Support Entry into the Online Market
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] Naver's online entrepreneurship·growth data-based educational curriculum combined with Woori Bank's business financing content has launched the 'Digital & Financial Growth Education' course.
Naver and Woori Bank announced on the 6th that they signed a 'Strategic Business Agreement (MOU) to Support Entry into the Online Market' based on a shared understanding of the need for education targeting SMEs, which account for 25% of the domestic economically active population.
This education program selects and conducts training for 30 business owners who operate offline stores and wish to expand their business online, and 30 business owners who hope to restart their business online.
For this education course, Naver planned a new curriculum by adding Woori Bank's business financing content to the online education curriculum for SMEs conducted through 'Partners Square,' a growth support space for SMEs operated by Naver for the past eight years.
In addition to educational content that received high responses at Naver Partners Square, such as how to use the 'Naver Smart Place' service to conveniently promote store information and 'online marketing strategies,' professional content provided by Woori Bank, such as 'how to utilize government policy funds' and 'credit management for small business owners,' was added. Customized online business consulting for each attending business owner is also expected to be provided.
Woori Bank will deploy business financing expert instructors to teach financial knowledge and the use of financing tools necessary for actual business. Through this, Naver's know-how in SME education is also expected to be delivered. Benefits such as ▲guaranteed loan and preferential loan interest rates ▲provision of fund management programs ▲exemption from banking fees will be provided to students to support their entry into the online market.
Applications for the education program can be made until the 20th via the Naver Partners Square website (link), Woori Bank internet banking, Woori WON banking, and Woori Bank branches. The education will be conducted online over a total of eight weeks through the Naver Partners Square website. Outstanding businesses that grow after participating in the program will receive separate marketing benefits through Naver and Woori Bank.
Han Seong-sook, CEO of Naver, said, "Naver is an online platform for 460,000 Smart Stores and 2.5 million local businesses, and we have accumulated data on what educational content business owners need at each stage of their business."
