Switch to Non-Face-to-Face Evaluation for COVID-19 Prevention Compliance and Evaluator Safety
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Home&Shopping (CEO Kim Ok-chan) announced on the 5th that it will strengthen customer communication by converting the product selection committee to an 'On-tact' method due to restrictions on face-to-face meetings caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The product selection committee, held once a week, involves product selection committee members evaluating and discovering new products to be launched on TV home shopping broadcasts. In particular, eight consumer product selection committee members, composed of Home&Shopping's excellent customers, directly participate in product selection and play a role in conveying customer needs firsthand.
Home&Shopping conducted the 401st product selection committee meeting held on the 4th as a non-face-to-face meeting. Previously, members gathered at Home&Shopping headquarters to evaluate preliminary new products, but to comply with quarantine rules and ensure the safety of evaluators, the evaluation was switched to an online format using a video conferencing system. To minimize face-to-face contact, only the on-site staff and product planners (MDs) responsible for the products attended. The MD introduced an overview and features of the products, and the product selection committee members evaluated the products through Q&A via video from their respective homes.
