Jindo-gun Reports 4 Additional COVID-19 Cases, 'High Alert'
[Jindo=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] In Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do, following the occurrence of one confirmed case (Jindo No. 13) in Jindo-eup on the morning of the 4th, two more cases in Jindo-eup and one case in Gunnae-myeon were confirmed in the afternoon, putting quarantine authorities on high alert.
According to Jindo-gun on the 5th, the three confirmed cases were classified as close contacts of Jindo No. 13 and tested positive after examination.
Jindo-gun is conducting an in-depth epidemiological investigation to identify the infection routes, movement paths, and contacts of the confirmed cases, and plans to promptly announce the results once available.
A Jindo-gun official stated, “Looking at the recent COVID-19 confirmation patterns, the strong transmissibility is causing rapid spread, making this a critical period,” and urged, “Please minimize movement by refraining from visiting other regions and unnecessary gatherings, and make mask-wearing a daily habit.”
