A man in his 20s caught on CCTV illegally filming a woman’s back in a residential area late at night
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] A man in his 20s was caught by the police for repeatedly illegally filming the back of a woman in a residential area of Seoul.
On the 4th, the Seocho Police Station in Seoul announced that they have booked and are investigating a man in his 20s, Mr. A, on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes.
According to the police, Mr. A is suspected of secretly filming the bodies of women walking in the residential area of Seocho-gu, Seoul, from the end of July to early this month. So far, about 10 victims have been identified.
Mr. A was caught in the act and arrested on the spot yesterday morning by an employee of the Seocho-gu Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) Integrated Control Center, who found it suspicious that he frequently appeared in an area densely populated by single women during late-night hours.
