Gwangyang City Selects Daejin Co., Ltd. as an Excellent Labor-Management Culture Company for Q3
Various Communication Channels Recognized for Labor-Management Win-Win Cooperation
[Gwangyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seonsik] On the 4th, Gwangyang City in Jeollanam-do announced that it selected Daejin Co., Ltd. as the ‘Excellent Labor-Management Culture Company’ for the third quarter of 2021.
The ‘Excellent Labor-Management Culture Company’ is selected quarterly by the city to discover outstanding companies that contribute to employment stability and labor-management culture, providing corporate incentives to expand employment, promote a cooperative labor-management atmosphere, and revitalize a pro-business culture.
Daejin Co., Ltd. is a company supporting steel manufacturing, overhead crane operation, and work at the Gwangyang Steelworks, currently employing 300 workers, and contributes to job creation and regional development by hiring local talent every year.
Since August 2020, the company changed the labor-management council meetings from quarterly to monthly, and this year was selected for the Labor-Management Partnership Program support project by the Labor-Management Development Foundation, making efforts for mutual growth and cooperation through various communication channels, which was recognized.
At the award ceremony held on August 4th in the Economic Welfare Bureau Director’s office at City Hall, Lee Myunghak, CEO of Daejin Co., Ltd., said, “This award has once again raised the pride of both labor and management in the company.”
He added, “We will continue to strive for labor-management coexistence and cooperation and become a leading company in Gwangyang that pioneers an advanced labor-management culture.”
Jang Hyungkong, Director of the Economic Welfare Bureau, said, “Although it is a difficult time due to COVID-19, we highly appreciate Daejin Co., Ltd.’s relentless efforts such as operating various communication channels for labor-management coexistence,” and added, “The city will also actively implement corporate support policies to create a ‘city good to work in and good for business.’”
Meanwhile, Gwangyang City has discovered, awarded, and promoted 25 excellent labor-management culture companies from 2016 to the present to become the number one economic city in Jeollanam-do.
