Jangheung-gun Intensifies Crackdown on Illegal Fishing Activities During Vacation Season
[Jangheung=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jeonnam=Jangheung-gun announced on the 3rd that from the 2nd until the end of August, it will intensively crack down on various illegal activities within the water source protection area during the vacation season to supply clear and clean water.
The main targets of the crackdown are unauthorized entry into the water source protection area for summer leisure, as well as activities that pollute the water source such as bathing, swimming, and harvesting shellfish.
The county formed a crackdown team consisting of 6 members in 2 teams to conduct regular patrols during weekdays, night patrols and surveillance activities, and plans to strengthen frequent patrols on weekends and holidays using various equipment such as CCTV.
