"Supports G-Sync Ultimate" LG Electronics Launches 34-inch 'UltraGear' Monitor
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] LG Electronics announced on the 2nd that it will launch a new 34-inch gaming monitor ‘LG UltraGear’ that supports G-SYNC® ULTIMATE, the highest level of compatibility certification with NVIDIA graphics cards.
Gaming monitors are high-spec monitors that support high refresh rates of over 100Hz, fast response times, and clear image quality. The newly introduced model (model number 34GP950G) supports G-SYNC Ultimate, the top-tier display technology certified by NVIDIA. This is the first Ultimate certification for a Korean company and the world’s first certification for a 34-inch product. To achieve this, it is equipped with an NVIDIA G-SYNC chipset, supports HDR (High Dynamic Range) 600, and has passed more than 300 official tests.
The new product features a 1 millisecond (1ms, 0.001 seconds) response time and a maximum 180Hz refresh rate. It also boasts a ‘Nano IPS Display’ that applies nanometer (nm, one-billionth of a meter) scale fine particles to the backlight and expresses rich colors through WQHD (3440x1440) resolution. Additionally, the rear of the monitor is equipped with the second generation Winning Force Lighting, a circular LED light that emits light in sync with game sounds and screen visuals to enhance the dynamism and immersion of the content.
It also includes gamer-specialized features such as ▲Dark Map Mode (a function that adjusts contrast to easily find enemies in dark areas) ▲Action Mode (a function that minimizes input signal delay for immediate response) ▲Crosshair Mode (a function that displays a crosshair at the center of the screen to improve shooting accuracy). The new product will be released through online channels on the same day, actively targeting non-face-to-face demand caused by COVID-19. The retail price is 1,690,000 KRW.
