Gyeonggi-do, 'Startup M&A Legal Support'
Legal Consultation and Cost Support Including M&A Contract Verification
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Gyeonggi Province will provide legal advice and contract review support to startup companies that are pursuing or planning M&A from this year.
The province announced on the 2nd, "A total of 36 expert consultations have been conducted centered on the 'Gyeonggi Fair M&A Support Center,'" and "We are recruiting 10 companies to receive startup M&A legal support."
The 'M&A Legal Support Project' aims to provide consultations to protect the value of startups and prevent technology theft during the M&A process of startups within the province.
To this end, experts from the support center such as lawyers and accountants, as well as brokerage and advisory institutions (law firms) with extensive M&A experience, will serve as consultants.
The province is currently conducting 36 expert consultations related to M&A through the support center and plans to recruit about 10 participating companies this year for support.
Participating startup companies will receive support for legal costs up to 30 million KRW per company (with a 20% self-payment).
