Muan-gun Deploys Personnel for Proactive COVID-19 Response
Proactive Deployment and Support Work of Nursing Staff at Public Health Centers
[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 29th that it has deployed personnel for proactive response to infectious diseases, considering the nationwide spread of COVID-19 and the high risk of infection from the Delta variant virus.
Eight nursing staff from towns and townships who were supporting the health center were officially assigned to the health center in early this month’s second half regular personnel reshuffle to ensure smooth execution of COVID-19 response tasks such as epidemiological investigations and operation of the vaccination center.
In addition, the appointment procedures for newly hired nursing staff this year are being expedited, with appointments effective from the 30th, and some of the personnel assigned to towns and townships will be mobilized to the health center to ensure thorough COVID-19 response.
Governor Kim San said, “The recent COVID-19 situation is very serious, with the daily average number of confirmed cases exceeding 1,500,” and added, “We will actively respond to infectious diseases through efficient personnel support and deployment to end COVID-19.”
