Gwangju Buk-gu Expands Operation of 'Minsheng Economic Revitalization Task Force'
Supporting Local Economic Revitalization and Rapid Return to Daily Life
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Moon In) announced on the 28th that it will expand the operation of the 'Livelihood Economy Revitalization Task Force' to revitalize the local economy and achieve a rapid return to normal life.
Through this expansion of the task force, support projects have been further strengthened by adding a multi-layered damage support sector to the existing 5 major sectors and 49 tasks, increasing to 6 sectors and 81 tasks.
Accordingly, plans are in place to promote the management stability of local small business owners through support for online market development for small business owners and self-employed, job discovery for youth and vulnerable groups, stepping stone projects for business recovery in industries experiencing sales decline and business stagnation, and Buk-gu type stepping stone special guarantees.
In addition, strategic support will be provided to companies struggling due to the contraction of the domestic economy, such as support for small and medium-sized enterprises to enter the post office shopping mall and support for costs to acquire overseas certification for export companies.
Along with this, efforts will focus on minimizing damage through customized support by class, such as incentive support projects for youth who have given up job searching and healing tours to overcome COVID-19 in the travel industry.
District Mayor Moon In of Buk-gu said, “Going forward, in line with the government's second supplementary budget, we will actively discover policies that can provide practical help to small business owners and actively promote various support policies to focus on recovery and normalization from the damage caused by COVID-19.”
