[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] The Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) International Management Institute announced on the 26th that it has launched an online course titled 'FKI ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) Academy to Improve ESG Evaluation Grades' for listed companies, financial firms, and public institutions.
The FKI International Management Institute stated that this training was designed to enhance companies' understanding of ESG and provide methods to achieve higher ESG evaluation grades, thereby strengthening the competitiveness of domestic companies.
The curriculum includes ▲ the concept of ESG and best practices to improve ESG evaluation grades ▲ legal issues related to each ESG category and corporate response strategies ▲ practical management approaches for constructing and improving ESG evaluation models. This course was developed in collaboration with the ESG group of Kim & Chang Law Firm and ESG evaluation experts. Lawyers and specialists will participate as lecturers to assist large corporations, listed companies, public enterprises, and both listed and unlisted financial institutions, and advisory services are also available.

The program was previously conducted once last month as an offline course. According to the FKI International Management Institute, participants included ESG teams from major construction companies, IR teams, ESG teams from food manufacturing companies, public affairs teams, strategic planning teams from public enterprises, PR teams from home shopping companies, HR teams from heavy equipment companies, CSR teams from telecommunications companies, heads of public institutions, and executive directors from pharmaceutical companies.
