Jeongeup-si 'Mobile Stamp Tour Event' in Progress
[Jeongeup=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City, Jeollabuk-do (Mayor Yoo Jinseop) announced on the 23rd that it will hold a ‘Mobile Stamp Tour Event’ to promote Jeongeup’s tourist attractions that can be safely enjoyed without worries about COVID-19.
The stamp tour is an event where participants download a mobile app or access the ‘Jeongeup City Smart Tourism Electronic Map’ via a search window, visit designated major tourist sites, and receive mobile authentication stamps.
The stamp tour tourist sites carefully selected by the city include 17 locations across four zones: Naejangsan Leisure and Recreation Zone, Jeongeupsa Cultural Zone, Donghak Peasant Revolution Cultural Zone, and Taesan Seonbi Cultural Zone.
When tourists run the electronic map or app and visit the designated tourist sites, stamps are automatically issued through GPS recognition.
The mobile stamp tour is open to everyone, and the event runs until December 31.
However, according to the Public Official Election Act, Jeongeup citizens are not eligible to receive gifts.
Participants complete the stamp mission by collecting five or more stamps and entering their personal information.
The city plans to mail souvenirs unique to Jeongeup (one of three types of magnets or a traditional fan) to participants who complete the mission at the end of each month.
In particular, those who verify their participation on personal SNS will receive an additional smartphone grip talk.
Mayor Yoo Jinseop said, “I hope you can soothe your weary mind and body and enjoy a rest in Jeongeup, which is full of natural blessings and cultural and historical sites,” adding, “We expect this stamp tour to contribute to revitalizing tourism and the local economy, which has been stagnant.”
