Successful Completion Ceremony of Basic Farming Skills Training... Supporting a New Start as Farmers
[Hampyeong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Jeollanam-do Hampyeong-gun announced on the 21st that it held a completion ceremony for basic farming technology education for new farmers (returning farmers) at the Agricultural Technology Center Flower Food Education Hall on the 20th.
The event was held in compliance with quarantine rules to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The education started with a real-time online opening ceremony using Zoom in March and continued for five months, with about 70 returning farmers attending the training.
The education program provided various courses such as crop selection tips, agricultural legal knowledge, and field visits to excellent farms to help new farmers settle stably, receiving great responses from the trainees.
Earlier, the county was selected as the '2021 Leading City for Returning and Rural Migration' by consumer choice in March, offering various opportunities to returning and rural migrants.
Education representative Lee Jong-yoon said, "I will do my best as a farmer," and added, "Now, as a citizen of Hampyeong, I will harmonize with the local people and contribute to the development of Hampyeong-gun."
