Muan-gun Hosts the 1st Jeollanam-do Garden Festival in Namanak

[Muan＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 17th that it has been selected for the Jeollanam-do Garden Festival contest project and will hold the event for five days from September 14 to 18 at Namak Kim Dae-jung Square.

This festival aims to create high-quality artist gardens, resident participation gardens, and commercial district gardens to spread an enjoyable garden culture shared by both local residents and visitors, and to create a high-quality themed garden that combines local businesses and gardens.

The county is recruiting participants, including artists and residents, to participate in the commercial district gardens from the 12th to the 20th, and after a preliminary briefing and production presentation, the event will be held under the theme "Muan (務安) Cut Garden."

The Garden Festival is expected to gain great popularity by providing various attractions and experiences to residents exhausted by COVID-19 through artistic gardens with life-cycle photo zones matching the theme and idea gardens involving resident participation.

Governor Kim San said, "I hope this Garden Festival will spread garden culture throughout Jeollanam-do and serve as an opportunity to improve the quality of life for residents."

Meanwhile, in addition to the Garden Festival, Muan-gun has completed the creation of three community gardens and one outdoor garden to create green spaces so far, plans to add two indoor gardens this year, and will promote various park and garden projects such as the Namak Modunuri Open Forest and Hoisan Baekryeonji Arboretum development projects in the future.
