Sejong Center for the Performing Arts Contributes to Work-Life Balance Environment, Receives 'Minister of Health and Welfare Commendation'
Awarding Meritorious Contributors to Address Low Birthrate and Aging Society on the 10th Population Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Sejong Center for the Performing Arts announced on the 19th that it received a commendation from the Minister of Health and Welfare in recognition of its contribution to creating a work-life balance environment in celebration of the ‘10th Population Day.’
The ‘Population Day’ merit award is hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare to promote the significance of establishing Population Day and to encourage social participation by awarding individuals and organizations that have contributed to overcoming low birth rates and addressing aging population issues.
Sejong Center for the Performing Arts was recognized for its continuous contribution to creating a balanced work and life environment by being the first cultural and artistic institution to extend parental leave to three years and proactively introducing staggered working hours and care leave to improve employees’ childcare environment, receiving the commendation from the Minister of Health and Welfare.
Sejong Center for the Performing Arts implemented ▲ the first cultural and artistic institution to uniformly extend parental leave to three years for both male and female employees ▲ expanded flexible working hours allowing adjustment of commuting times ▲ established a half-day leave system for flexible vacation use ▲ formed and operated a task force for early stabilization of the 52-hour workweek ▲ encouraged use of care leave, emergency protection leave, and bridge holiday annual leave according to family circumstances ▲ introduced a paid compensatory leave system for additional working hours.
