[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Domestic online video service (OTT) Wave announced on the 16th that it has secured the online broadcasting rights for the Tokyo Olympics.
Wave will provide live broadcasts of terrestrial broadcasting channels (KBS1, KBS2, MBC, SBS), major game replays (VOD), and highlight videos of the games.
Wave will also operate a special page during the Olympics. A section will be set up where users can watch Olympic-related video content along with sports variety shows, dramas, and movies owned by Wave. Entertainment, documentary, and interview programs featuring Olympic athletes will also be gathered in one place.

Choi So-jung, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of Wave, said, "We secured the broadcasting rights so that users can conveniently enjoy the Olympics," adding, "We are preparing differentiated services by utilizing Wave's abundant sports-related content."
