Busan City, BNK Financial Group, and Others Promote Carbon Neutral City Initiative
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Busan City is joining hands with BNK Financial Group and others to realize a carbon-neutral city and foster the renewable energy industry.
On the 15th, Busan City Hall signed a 'Carbon-Neutral Transition City Realization Business Agreement' with Busan City, BNK Financial Group, Korea Southern Power, Hanwha Solutions, Hanwha Energy, and others.
The goal is to revitalize the local economy and create jobs through focused cultivation and discovery of industries related to renewable energy through cooperation among the agreement institutions.
BNK will participate in creating a hydrogen ecosystem, establishing green industrial complexes through the distribution of solar power and fuel cells, promoting research and development projects to secure renewable energy technology, and cooperate in financial support necessary for business purposes such as ESG finance and the Green New Deal to achieve carbon neutrality.
