Gokseong-gun Operates Healing Program with Residents of Dementia Care Village
[Gokseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seonsik] Jeonnam Gokseong-gun (Yoo Geun-gi) announced that on the 7th and 13th, it operated the dementia-safe healing program "Silver Five Senses Satisfaction" for a total of 31 residents of Jukjeong 2-gu in Moksadong-myeon and Heukseok in Ip-myeon, designated as dementia-safe villages, at the National Gokseong Healing Forest.
This program was provided at the Gokseong Healing Forest and included various activities to stabilize and heal the mind and body, such as a forest walk from Cheonggye Valley to Seokdang Waterfall, meditation time, foot baths, and aromatherapy.
Residents who participated in the program expressed their enjoyment, saying, "Breathing in the good air and having a foot bath relieved my fatigue and made my mind feel clear."
A county official stated, "Our county is doing its best to ensure that the elderly can feel safe from dementia. We will continue to provide careful care and conduct various programs."
