Scientific Training Unit Develops Program Utilizing Big Data
[Asia Economy Yang Nak-gyu, Military Specialist Reporter] A program utilizing the big data accumulated at the Army Science Combat Training Team (KTCT) is being developed. The Science Combat Training Team refers to a unit established to conduct simulated battles against opposing forces using various advanced equipment in a training ground designed to replicate real combat conditions.
On the 8th, the Korea Defense Technology Society announced that it signed a mutual exchange and cooperation agreement (MOU) with KTCT in Inje-gun, Gangwon Province, to promote the construction of the military's future advanced forces and to build a cooperative relationship between the two organizations.
According to the Korea Defense Technology Society, through this agreement, the two organizations will △ exchange information and cooperate in education for building future advanced military forces and nurturing defense science and technology talent △ continue cooperation in academic events and exchange activities for technology exchange.
The society particularly expects that combining the big data of KTCT, which has expanded to the regimental level, with artificial intelligence will enable the creation of programs usable in wartime situations.
Park Young-wook, president of the society, stated, “We hope that the two organizations will actively continue information exchange and educational cooperation to promote defense big data and artificial intelligence activation and talent development.”
