Jungnang-gu Bang Jeong-hwan Education Support Center Leads Talent Development for the 4th Industrial Revolution
Operation of 1DAY Career Program Experiencing the 4th Industrial Revolution for 6,159 Local Elementary and Middle School Students... Held at Bang Jeong-hwan Education Support Center with Robot Education Room, Makerspace... Expected to Acquire Creative Problem-Solving Skills through 3D Design, Coding Drones, VR/AR
On the 29th of last month, students from Hyewon Girls' Middle School are experiencing 'Coding Drone' at the Bang Jeong-hwan Education Support Center.
View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) is operating a ‘1DAY Career Program’ that allows elementary and middle school students in the area to experience 4th Industrial Revolution technologies such as 3D printing and drone piloting.
With growing interest and importance in related fields in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, this program aims to enable students to easily access future technologies close to their schools.
During the second half of this year, the program will be offered to a total of 6,159 students, including 2,760 students from 23 elementary schools and 3,399 students from 14 middle schools.
The education proceeds with theoretical classes on future promising occupations, followed by participation in one or two hands-on experiences per student.
Various experiences are provided, such as ‘3D Printing,’ where students practice modeling and printing using 3D pens; ‘Coding Drone,’ where students operate and pilot drones through Python coding; and ‘Virtual Reality (VR)·Augmented Reality (AR),’ which turns imagination into reality.
The education is conducted at the Bang Jeong-hwan Education Support Center, which is equipped with dedicated 4th Industrial Revolution experience spaces such as a robot education room, makerspace, and multi-room.
Jungnang-gu Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi said, “We will prepare various career education programs to nurture talents with core competencies and creative problem-solving skills required by future society. The Bang Jeong-hwan Education Support Center operates diverse programs to help local students with career planning and learning ability enhancement, so we ask for your great interest.”

The center also offers coding robot classes that parents and elementary school children can participate in together. Starting at 11 a.m. on the 8th, the center’s website will recruit a total of 18 families on a first-come, first-served basis. The schedule is ▲18th (lower grades, 9 families) ▲25th (upper grades, 9 families).
