Incheon TP-GS Caltex, Smart Gas Station Demonstration Support
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) and GS Caltex are recruiting startups by the 16th to create smart gas stations that provide fuel and various convenient lifestyle services together.
Incheon TP and GS Caltex are promoting the "Smart-X Energy" program to support the demonstration of smart gas stations incorporating new innovative services.
The goal is to introduce smart gas stations that offer services such as pet care, currency exchange, clothing rental, smart parcel delivery, and mobility charging and rental.
To this end, GS Caltex is providing two gas stations near Incheon International Airport as demonstration spaces for innovative services and plans to expand this to 29 directly operated gas stations in the Incheon area.
The target applicants are startups within seven years of establishment that possess products and services related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies applicable to smart gas stations. The support categories include demonstration funding support (up to 50 million KRW per company) and demonstration resource provision, selecting and supporting about two companies in each category.
Products and services from startups that achieve outstanding demonstration results are expected to gain market entry opportunities through partnerships with GS Caltex in the future.
