In this context, a meaningful event was held to share strategies for responding to public contest projects to successfully secure national and provincial funds.
Jeollanam-do Hampyeong County announced on the 4th that the "Public Contest Project Response Staff Capacity Building Training" was held on the 2nd at the Theme Video Hall of Hampyeong County Expo Park.
The training invited Oh Byung-seok, President of the Korea Institute of Planning and Evaluation for Technology in Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (IPET), as the instructor and was conducted for department heads, town and township chiefs, and main office team leaders.
In particular, this training holds special significance as a starting signal for the administration gradually stretching out to return to pre-pandemic daily life, following the government's new social distancing reform plan.
Also, with the local COVID-19 vaccination rate approaching 60%, expectations for herd immunity formation supported the holding of in-person training.
President Oh Byung-seok, who gave the lecture, entered public service in 1990 through the Technical High Civil Service Examination and has held key positions at the National Seed Management Office, National Plant Quarantine Service, Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and the Office for Government Policy Coordination. In 2019, he served as Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and is recognized as a brain in the agricultural field.
During the training, President Oh shared his successful work experiences during his public service career with county employees and lectured on recent government policy directions and Hampyeong County’s key public contest project attraction strategies in response.
