Development of Smart Green Cities Where Humans and Nature Coexist
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] On June 30, Jeonnam Gwangyang City held a residents' briefing session at the Gwangyang City Culture and Arts Center Grand Performance Hall regarding the Inseo District Urban Development Project, with about 120 attendees including local residents and landowners, the city announced on the 1st.
The residents' briefing session gathered various opinions on the Inseo District Urban Development Project development plan (draft) and the strategic environmental impact assessment (draft).
The Inseo District Urban Development Project plans to invest 113.4 billion KRW to accommodate 2,260 households and 5,222 people on a 626,000㎡ site located in Indong and Inseo-ri, Gwangyang-eup, at the lower part of the Jeonnam Provincial Museum of Art.
Currently, the survey and design service has commenced and is underway. The city is collecting opinions from related agencies and departments for zone designation and development plan preparation, and held the residents' briefing session during the public inspection period of the strategic environmental impact assessment (draft) from June 16 to July 14.
The city is fulfilling various impact assessment services and administrative procedures to complete the project zone designation and development plan approval by December, and is doing its best to promote the service for prompt commencement of construction.
Additionally, since March this year, the city has been collecting consent forms for the designation of the project implementer, securing more than half of the land area and more than half of the total number of landowners, which are the legal requirements.
