Koas Launches Eco-Friendly Children's Library Bookshelf
From Eco-Friendly Materials to Rounded Corners: Thoughtful User-Centered Design
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jonghwa] Coas, a company specializing in office environments, has launched a new children's library bookshelf aimed at improving educational environments for children beyond just office spaces.
This kindergarten bookshelf is designed based on the concept of creating a space that nurtures children's dreams, rather than just furniture placed in a simple space.
They have released both straight and curved bookshelves considering safety and aesthetics, allowing efficient use of space with various layouts depending on the educational content. Especially since these are furniture used by children, materials with high eco-friendliness such as laminated wood and birch plywood were used to create a safer and healthier space, and design elements like rounded corners were carefully considered for safety.
Additionally, comfortable colors and padded tops were applied to help children focus on lessons and play, allowing them to sit and read books or have conversations. Various features that combine fun and play, such as passing through tunnels, were also added to enhance both design and usability.
