Gokseong-gun, 2 Million Won Wedding Congratulatory Money for Young Couples Each
To Encourage Marriage Among the Youth Generation
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Yoo Geun-gi) announced on the 1st that it will provide a marriage congratulatory fund of 2 million won to young couples to encourage marriage among the younger generation.
The eligibility for the marriage congratulatory fund is young couples aged 49 or younger who registered their marriage after January 1, 2021, with at least one spouse being a first-time marriage.
Additionally, as of the marriage registration date, at least one spouse must have resided in Jeollanam-do for more than one year and in Gokseong-gun for more than six months, and at the time of applying for the congratulatory fund, both spouses must reside in Gokseong-gun to be eligible.
The application period is from six months after the marriage registration date up to twelve months, and applications can be submitted from July 1 to the Population Policy Team of the Future Innovation Division in Gokseong-gun. Based on statistics of marriages among the local young generation, Gokseong-gun expects a total of 24 young couples to receive the congratulatory fund this year.
