Gangwon-do 'Gyeonggi Coincident and Leading Index' Rises for 4 Consecutive Months
MoM Composite Coincident Index Rises 0.9%, Leading Composite Index Rises 5.2%
[Asia Economy Reporter La Youngcheol] According to the 'April 2021 Gangwon Economic Composite Index' data announced by Gangwon Province, the concurrent and leading composite indices of Gangwon Province showed a simultaneous upward trend for four consecutive months.
On the 1st, according to the province, the Gangwon Province concurrent composite index rose 0.9% from the previous month to 107.9, and the concurrent index cyclical component increased by 0.9 points to 100.8, maintaining an upward trend.
The leading index, used for short-term prediction of economic fluctuations over the next 4 to 5 months, recorded 130.4, up 5.2% from the previous month, and the cyclical component rose 5.6 points to 115.0.
As of the previous month, the national concurrent index rose 1.1%, and the leading index increased by 0.7%. In particular, the leading index within the province showed a 4.5 percentage point higher growth rate compared to the national average.
Kim Kwonjong, Director of the Economic Promotion Division, stated, "As this is an important time for economic recovery, we will focus all our capabilities on implementing economic policies that residents can feel."
