Criticisms such as "a middle schooler's announcement," "a curse without alternatives," "a feast of empty words," and "like a prosecutor's report on a political incident" followed. There were also attacks saying, "Isn't he running as a shield to protect himself and his in-laws?", "He has no content of his own," and "It feels like a lecture collecting good sentences from textbooks."
On the 29th, Park Joo-min, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, wrote on Facebook, "Reporters asked various questions ranging from economic policy to Japan diplomacy and real estate policy, but I don't remember any answer that stood out," adding, "He definitely said something, but I don't know what it was." Park said, "It seems he either did not understand the questions themselves or has no opinions on each issue," and directly criticized, "That's why he gave irrelevant answers and rambled improvisationally."
Park also criticized, "He seems completely unprepared even as a politician, let alone as a presidential candidate." As an example, he pointed out Yoon's attitude in answering questions about growth and distribution. Park said, "He said sustainability is important, not distribution, but sustainable economic development is growth through distribution and distribution through growth," and added, "I can't understand what he is talking about." He expressed doubt about how much Yoon could change in the few months left until the presidential election, saying, "On the other hand, the opposition party might already be preparing other options."
Kang Byung-won, a Supreme Council member of the Democratic Party, said, "He only uses ambiguous words to dodge and echoes curses hoping the government will fail," adding, "It looks more like a declaration of joining the People Power Party than a declaration of candidacy." Kang said, "There was no vision for the people's lives anywhere in the declaration," and "The only noticeable words were dictatorship, deterioration, and despotism, which basically shows contempt for the people."
Assemblyman Ahn Min-seok also pointed out, "There were only curses and no personal stories," adding, "His perception of reality and vision were an empty feast of vague words." He said, "It seemed even Yoon himself didn't know what he was saying," and "It was a middle schooler's announcement, trying to do everything good that someone else wrote." Ahn said, "I think Yoon is running for president as a shield to protect himself and his in-laws," and "He is not ready to stand as a presidential candidate, so he can only give such answers." He added, "In short, it felt superficial and lacked his own content," and "Watching the declaration was almost a waste of time."

Jung said, "It reminded me of Ahn Cheol-soo, who never showed philosophy or vision, and I couldn't hear his own story," adding, "There was nothing much to criticize, so it felt a bit bland. I don't think Yoon Seok-yeol will become president."

Jung criticized, "I don't know who wrote it, but it was a soulless reading by the Taegeukgi Unit and far-right figures," and "He lacked political capability, economic knowledge, and socio-cultural empathy." He said, "It was a declaration worth not even 10 won," and "A clumsy imitation without depth."
